Description

Leslie Frodema, NP-C, MBA

Leslie is a primary care nurse practitioner with a diverse background in critical care and primary care settings, and in corporate health care management. Through her experience, she has observed that health is our natural state and that the body always seeks wellness, communicating with us through both physical and emotional symptoms. While the modern health care model centers on suppressing symptoms, predominantly with pharmaceuticals, Leslie’s approach focuses on restoring health by identifying and correcting underlying root causes through a personalized, holistic approach.

Her approach was also informed by personal experience caring for family members with chronic diseases, leading her to seek answers beyond the traditional medical model and further inspiring her life-long study of healing modalities that include nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Macrobiotics, mind-body approaches, and functional and energy medicine. During the past decade, she has gained experience in using photo biomodulation (cold laser), nutrient infusion therapy, Low Energy Neurofeedback, and Autonomic Response Testing.

Leslie earned a bachelor of science with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. As a registered nurse, she has worked across the spectrum of care from Boston teaching hospital intensive care units to community-based primary care. She received a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and health care administration from the University of Chicago and has a Master’s in Science, Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University. She completed Level 1 training at the School of Applied Functional Medicine.

Her interests include working with people in optimizing brain health, identifying and addressing causes of autoimmune conditions, gut imbalances, and guiding people on healthy eating and living.
